Community Programs

Community support is a priority to ER 24-7 Plus. We offer educational and entertaining programs to the Houston public and we base our content on our audience. Whether you are in the mood for story time with your children or CPR training for your employees – we have the program for you!

Each community program from ER 24-7 Plus is designed to educate the public through interactive fun concerning healthcare and safety. Our staff is prepared to host an educational, yet entertaining presentation for you, your organization or your children. Could you use a dose of fun medicine?

COMMUNITY PROGRAMS

Teddy Goes to the ER

An emergency room can be a scary environment for children. Therefore, the staff at ER 24-7 Plus created the program, Teddy Goes to the ER, to decrease the level of fear associated with emergency center visits.

A book based on an emergency room visit is read to the children and the main character is a teddy bear! What could be more fun and relaxing for children?  The staff at ER 24-7 Plus make sure the story is interactive and even let the children see sample equipment and listen to their own heart beat!  By the time the program is completed, the children feel at ease.

The staff at ER 24-7 Plus encourage this program for elementary schools, daycares, church groups and moms clubs. Parent Programs

At times, we all forget to take care of ourselves, monitor our bodies and take the proper precautions for health and wellness. The staff at ER 24-7 Plus understand that with busy schedules and a crowded home, any chance parents have to further their health or pediatric education is an asset.  Therefore, we have created custom presentations and seminars centered around the needs of adults and children.

Whether you are President of a Dad’s Club or head of your PTA, we have a presentation for you. We welcome suggestions, but have a detailed list of custom presentations for all audiences.  We ensure you that you will leave happy and further educated on the health of you or your children.

Seasonal Health and Emergency Seminars for Businesses

Your employees are an asset to your organization. They run the day to day activity that keeps your business afloat.  What happens when they get sick or are unaware of the common illnesses and emergency situations that are happening – they miss work and productivity is down.  For this reason, ER 24-7 Plus has made a commitment to the business world to conduct employee seminars based on the seasonal hot topics.

Emergency Center Tours

ER 24-7 Plus opens its doors to the public for interactive and educational tours of our emergency center facility. Each tour is unique to the audience, but has the same goal – to educate and entertain the public of our emergency care capabilities.

You will be led through our facility to view all of our patient rooms, CT Scan, X-Ray and even test some of our emergency equipment such as our heart rate monitor.

Boy/Girl Scouts – Emergency Center Tours

ER 24-7 Plus opens its doors to boy and girl scouts of Houston for interactive and educational tours of our emergency center facility. The goal of these customized tours is to educate and entertain the scouts of our emergency care capabilities.

The troops will be led through our facility to view all of our patient rooms, CT Scan, X-Ray and even test some of our emergency equipment such as our heart rate monitor. The knowledge of each scout will be tested at the end of the tour and if the test is passed, they will receive a new patch!
