Insurance
We accept major commercial insurance plans such as Aetna, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, United Healthcare, and Humana Texas law requires insurance carriers to pay for emergency care, whether "in-network" or "out-of- network" at the network level. The "prudent layperson" standard applies for what is classified as an emergency. If a patient having a heart attack had to call their insurance company to check the "network status" before going to the emergency room, the critical time spent doing so could cause further harm to the patient. This is why the state of Texas does not allow insurance companies to discriminate between "in-network" and "out -of- network" care in an emergency.
In addition to most major commercial insurance plans, we accept Medicare. Your co-pay is expected at the time of service. Due to the variety of commercial plans available, we cannot know what your particular plan will pay. Your coverage, co-pay, and deductible will all factor into this amount. If you have questions concerning your coverage, please contact your carrier’s customer service representative.
If you do not have insurance, we will be happy to work with you on a cash fee schedule to help you pay for your visit.
Medical billing can be a confusing process. We will do our best to make our billing process easy to understand. If you have any questions regarding billing, we want you to contact us. We will do our best to answer any questions you may have. Our goal is for you to never encounter hidden costs or surprise fees.
